BRYAN MEAD APPOINTED VICE PRESIDENT, MARKETING AND LABEL RELATIONS, FONTANA DISTRIBUTION
Universal City, California, October 3, 2005 —Fontana Distribution, the independent music division of Universal Music Group (UMG), the world’s leading music company, has promoted Bryan Mead to Vice President of Marketing and Label Relations, it was announced today by Steve Pritchitt, General Manager of Fontana.
Based in Universal City, Mr. Mead will work in conjunction with Fontana's distributed labels and lead a team of label managers to develop marketing and merchandising initiatives for all releases. He will also work closely with Fontana's family of labels on the strategic development of their artists.
"Bryan is a true professional with tremendous energy, and has shown exceptional capabilities within the sales, marketing and artist development fields,” commented Mr. Pritchitt. “His expertise, leadership qualities and outstanding people skills will make him a valuable contributor to our growing team.”
Prior to joining Fontana, Mr. Mead served as Senior Director of Marketing and Artist Development for Universal Music & Video Distribution (UMVD), where he managed national marketing campaigns for developing artists. While at UMVD, he received several honors including “National Star Performer” in 2004 and “National Marketing Representative of the Year” in 2001. Previously he was employed in various sales and marketing positions for Sony Music in Seattle, Washington and Boulder, Colorado.
Mr. Mead graduated with a bachelor of sciences degree from the University of Colorado in 1993.
