L.J. HAYDEN PROMOTED TO VICE PRESIDENT, RETAIL PARTNERSHIP MARKETING, UNIVERSAL MUSIC AND VIDEO DISTRIBUTION

Universal City, California, September 1, 2005 — Universal Music & Video Distribution (UMVD), the award-winning sales and marketing division of Universal Music Group, the world’s leading music company, has promoted L.J. Hayden to Vice President of Retail Partnership Marketing, it was announced today by Cliff O’Sullivan, Senior Vice President of Marketing for the company. Formerly, Ms. Hayden served as Director of Retail Partnership Marketing for UMVD.

Based at UMVD’s headquarters in Universal City, Ms. Hayden will manage the retail partnership department, working closely with Universal Music Group labels on partnership marketing efforts. She will manage relationships with such companies as MasterCard, Coca-Cola and Procter & Gamble, while continuing to seek new corporate alliances.

“Retail marketing continues to be a key component in our company’s marketing strategy and L.J.’s experience is unparalled,” stated Mr. O’Sullivan. “We are thrilled to be expanding her role at UMVD.”

Prior to joining UMVD, Ms. Hayden held senior marketing and strategic alliance positions at such companies as Atari, Inc. and Virgin Entertainment Group. Her career began as a marketing coordinator with Mercury/PolyGram Records.

Ms. Hayden received a Bachelor of Science degree from Florida State University.
