UNIVERSAL MUSIC PUBLISHING GROUP SIGNS LEGENDARY SONGWRITING/PRODUCTION DUO, JIMMY JAM AND TERRY LEWIS
Santa Monica, CA, January 30, 2012 – Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis, the legendary songwriting and production team, have signed an exclusive worldwide publishing administration agreement with Universal Music Publishing Group (UMPG), as announced today by Evan Lamberg, President, UMPG North America and Zach Horowitz, Chairman & CEO of UMPG. The deal includes all new work written by the duo, one of the most successful songwriting and production teams in modern music history. UMPG will not administer the back catalog.

They have amassed over 100 gold, platinum, multi-platinum and diamond albums collaborating on landmark projects for a range of artists including Michael Jackson, Boyz II Men, Beyonce, Sting, Mary J. Blige, Elton John, Usher, Yolanda Adams, Herb Alpert, Luther Vandross, Rod Stewart, New Edition, Human League, Earth, Wind and Fire, Mariah Carey, Robert Palmer, Gwen Stefani, Kanye West, and Janet Jackson. Their media resume is just as impressive, crafting themes and soundtracks for The NBA on TNT & TBS, NBA Inside Stuff, FOX NFL Sunday, and the opening ceremonies of the Atlanta Summer Olympic Games.
