Taylor Swift Fearless Tour 2009 Gets Interactive
One would be hard-pressed to find someone who doesn’t recognize the name Taylor Swift, but do people know what Swift is all about?
Taylor Swift is a 19 year old Country/Pop musician, who has recently been experiencing an incredible amount of success following her latest album Fearless. In fact, her album sold more copies in 2008 than any other recording artist in any genre!
No wonder then that Fearless spent a record breaking amount of time atop Billboard’s all-genre Top 200 list, and is now certified triple platinum! But Swift’s accomplishments don’t stop there; she also holds Billboard’s all-genre record for most Top 20 debuts in a calendar year! Swift’s hit single “Love Story,” recently became the most downloaded song in country music history, and earlier this month she was awarded the “Crystal Milestone Award” by the Academy of Country Music. If that weren’t enough, Swift also became the first artist to earn the Young Hollywood Award for “Superstar of Tomorrow.”
Currently, Swift is touring on her Taylor Swift Fearless 2009 Tour where fans have an opportunity to actively participate through a number of interactive elements through Verizon Wireless. Fans can text “TS” to”8607” to be automatically entered for a chance to win two tickets to see Taylor Swift live! Winners will receive a digital ticket, via text message, which will not only give them access to the concert but also allow them to experience the show like a real VIP, the exclusive entrance and all!
Additionally, fans will have the opportunity to “perform” alongside Swift; well not really, but they will look like they had! Fan’s will appear as if they were on stage with Taylor Swift, with the help of green screen technology, as she performs her hit songs “Love Story” and “Picture to Burn.” Clips from the green screen performance will then be sent to those phones of those fans that choose to participate so they could share it with their friends!
