Taylor Momsen Signs To Interscope, Debut Album Scheduled for Fall
Interscope Records has just signed 15 year-old singer-songwriter Taylor Momsen, star of The CW's popular television series, Gossip Girl. The Momsen fronted rock band, The Pretty Reckless are scheduled to release their full length debut album this fall, and will support The Veronicas on the road starting May 9th!
Momsen, who has been recording in Los Angeles, Nashville and New York, fronts the band, sings lead vocals and co-writes all of their songs. Of this next step in her career, she enthused "I'm so excited to be among the talented and respected artists signed to Interscope Records. Partnering with Jimmy Iovine [Chairman of Interscope Geffen A&M Records] is an honor."
And Iovine had kind words for his new star, too. "Taylor has an incredible presence and when she decided to make Interscope her musical home we were thrilled."
Momsen, who stars as "Little J", Jenny Humphrey on the TV show Gossip Girl, began acting professionally at age three, and was recently named one of the most beautiful people in the world in People Magazine. We're looking forward to this next chapter in her career!
