Rihanna Makes Australian Digital Chart History

Rihanna's single "Don't Stop The Music" has created chart history in Australia as it becomes the first digital-only single to go to No. 1 on the official Motorola ARIA Singles Chart. (published Feb 17).

It's the Def Jam artist's third Australian chart topping single since "SOS" was No. 1 for eight weeks from April 2006, then global smash hit "Umbrella" held the top spot for seven weeks from June 2007.

According to the ARIA, Rihanna now has equal fourth placing with Shakira and Pink as the female artist with the most No. 1 singles in the territory this decade.

"Don't Stop the Music" will be released on physical format in stores on Feb. 25th in Australia & New Zealand. Current album Good Girl Gone Bad has also achieved platinum status Down Under.
