Gavin Rossdale, Erin McCarley and more to play "One Splendid Evening"
In support of VH1’s Save the Music Foundation, Carnival Cruise Lines and Mayercraft Carrier 2 have organized a special concert at sea “One Splendid Evening”. The Save the Music Foundation was established in response to the drastic budget cuts in public schools across the United States which threatens to deprive young Americans from the opportunity to receive proper music education.
Among the artists who will be performing on board Carnival’s biggest “Fun Ship,” the Splendor, include: Gavin Rossdale,Erin McCarley and John Mayer. Guests will be served dinner, have access to an open bar and enjoy live entertainment throughout the ship. The event will take place on March 26th, 2009 with profits being used to bring back instrumental music education to America’s public schools.
Although “One Splendid Evening” will be a one night affair, with the Splendor being docked at the Port of San Pedro in Los Angeles, it will be followed up by a four day music cruise aboard the Splendor starting the very next day, March 27th, called – the “Mayercraft Carrier 2: Even Craftier.” The four day cruise will set sail from Los Angeles and will travel down to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. Prices for the four day music adventure at sea, range from $799 - $3999.
