New 3 Doors Down Album out May 6th, Tour Dates Announced
Universal Republic rock favorites 3 Doors Down will release their fourth studio album on May 6. The self-titled follow-up to their platinum-plus 2005 effort, Seventeen Days, is rumored to embody the fiery passion and creative maturation of a quintessential American rock band at the top of its game.
The first single from 3 Doors Down will be “It’s Not My Time,” with other songs on the album including “It’s The Only One You’ve Got,” “Train,” and “Citizen Soldier.” With nearly 13 million albums sold worldwide, the melodic/tough-around-the-edges Mississippi/Nashville-based band has rewritten the rock script on maintaining commercial success and securing rabid fan appeal without bowing to trends or compromising their grassroots appoaroach.
Braced by frontman Brad Arnold’s enduring vocal power, has put together an amazing streak of powerful albums and chart-topping singles, including their 2000 breakthrough multi-platinum effort, A Better Life, and epic mega-hit signature songs such as “Kryptonite,” and “When I’m Gone,” from 2003’s spiraling epic Away From The Sun. Other 3 Doors Down highpoints include an American Music Award in 2000 for Best New Artist, and two 2003 Billboard Music Awards for Best Rock/Pop Group and Best Hot 100 Single for the 1 most played song of the year, the piercing “When I’m Gone.”
As fans would expect, the band hints that their upcoming new album pulls no punches. Forged during an ‘intense period of growth and soul searching,’ 3 Doors Down supporters are calling it a ‘defining, gut-driven’ effort that mines the band’s interpersonal chemistry as well as its oft-mentioned stature as keepers of the heritage rock flame.
