American Recordings

American Recordings is an independent record label headed by Rick Rubin, the record producer and co-founder of Def Jam Recordings. The label was formed in 1988 and originally known as Def American Recordings before becoming American Recordings in 1993. American Recordings titles are released through Universal Music Group’s Republic Records.

Boominati Worldwide

Boominati Worldwide is a record label founded by GRAMMY Nominated Producer Metro Boomin and distributed by Republic Records & Universal Music Group. Since its inception, the label has seen three #1 Billboard 200 albums, four Billboard Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums and Top Rap Albums, 42 Billboard Hot 100 hits and has released the official soundtrack for Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse, which vaulted into the Top 10 of the Billboard 200 and logged seven straight weeks on the Billboard Top Soundtrack Albums Chart.

Brushfire Records

Brushfire Records was born in 2002 at The Mango Tree studio in Hawaii when Jack Johnson and longtime friend Emmett Malloy wanted to create their own record label to put out the soundtracks for the renowned surf films they had been making under The Moonshine Conspiracy banner since 1998. Brushfire Records not only gave them the opportunity to release music from their surf films (Thicker Than Water and September Sessions) but also to release Jack’s music as well as connect and support other musicians, artists and friends, whose work they liked and respected including: Bahamas, Neil Halstead, ALO, Zach Gill, Paula Fuga, G. Love & Special Sauce, Money Mark, Matt Costa, Mason Jennings, Rogue Wave, Zee Avi, and Donovon Frankenreiter.

Casablanca Records, the legendary label of the 70’s, defined the sound of its era. Federal Films

Federal Films is the newly created film and TV division within Republic Records that aims to bring compelling stories to audiences around the world. Most recently, Federal Films served as executive producers on the critically acclaimed Netflix film, They Cloned Tyrone starring Jamie Foxx and John Boyega, in Juel Taylor’s directorial debut. In partnership with South Korean K-Pop juggernaut JYP Entertainment, Federal Films created the recently released reality competition show A2K (America-to-Korea), an original series that follows the creation of the first North American girl super group trained through the K-Pop system. Federal Films has also ventured into the documentary space with HBO’s Love to Love You, Donna Summer, the definitive account of the iconic artist. Other documentaries include Ariana Grande: Excuse Me, I Love You (Netflix); Jonas Brothers’ Chasing Happiness (Amazon); and Todd Haynes’ highly acclaimed, The Velvet Underground (Apple TV+) that vividly evokes the band’s incandescent world, the creative origins of Lou Reed and John Cale and Andy Warhol’s fabled Factory. The famed label originally founded by Irving Green in 1945 was recently re-launched and now operates as an imprint of Republic Records.
